My name is Matt Gerchow and I am an Internet entrepreneur. I have been making full-time income online for the past 3 1/2 years now. I started in a position very much like you're in right now.

I had sold one of my previous businesses, and I was sitting on some money. Prior to getting involved with the Internet, my business had been Real Estate Investing. While real estate had been good to me, the regulations, the repairs and the general disrespect from my tenants caused me to look elsewhere for my income.

My first Internet business that I purchased ended up being successful. I was able to net over $1000 every month from an initial $5000 investment. To me, those numbers were EXACTLY what I was looking for.

Then he came time to buy my second business. With the luck that I had on the first one, I was a little cocky. I didn't look at the numbers quite as closely as I had the first. Plus, with this business, there was list marketing involved and not solely affiliate sales. Let's just say that the endeavor did not pan out as well as I would like to have.

Then I bought another business. Same thing again. What I eventually realized is that, "people are selling websites for a reason." Whether their income is going down, the traffic is going away or their product is no longer converting...there's always a reason, and it's usually a negative one.

People hang onto their best businesses and sell off their garbage.

A mentor had consistently prodded me to build my own sites versus buy them. In some way, I kind of considered that beneath me. I mean, I had money. I just wanted to invest in cash flows and hang out with my friends.

Armed with my knowledge from my Internet business purchases, I continued to look for additional websites to buy. When I knew what to look for, I was utterly disappointed to find out that there were not any quality websites to buy.

I even set up a website that would let people enter all of the information that I required to make a purchase decision. Using one of my VA's, I paid her to contact all of the websites within the niches that I was interested in.

WHAT A BUNCH OF JUNK!

Unlike distressed real estate, people were holding onto all of their Internet assets. And the quality sites, that were for sale, were being sold at numbers as high as threes 3 times annual net profit.

So if a site was netting $1,000 dollars a month, they were asking $35k grand for it.

An investment into a site that would not make its money back for three years was not acceptable.

So my mentor and I began building websites. The biggest issue with this was the time that it took to do everything. Building the sites, writing the content, graphic design and search engine optimization all needed to be done in order for each site to be successful.

There had to be an easier way. My mentor John had become very successful as a programmer for Real Estate Investing applications. With lots of prodding, begging and pleading I convinced John to build a website-building software for our use.

The process was a lot more complicated than I originally had thought. There was so much more to building SUCCESSFUL websites then most people think. Successful websites, ones that make money, have to nail all of these processes 100%.…
